The simplest way is to fly into and out of Seville Airport (SVQ) and out of Málaga (AGP), Granada (GRX) or Seville.

Fast trains also link the cities with Madrid (MAD), so it's no hardship to fly into or out of the capital either and we can host you for some time there too if you like.

It's absolutely possible to travel by train from London or Paris. If you are coming from the UK, then if you set off at breakfast you can take two trains from London St Pancras and be in Barcelona before dinner time. It's a short hop between stations on arrival in Paris and away you go. After a night in Barcelona, you take the train to Seville and off you go. If you want to do it on the way back, simply flip that on its head from Granada.

Of course, we would be very happy to host you in Paris and/or Barcelona if you want to have a look around those great cities - we have lots to see and do even if you have already been.

Finally, it's also possible to travel by sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona. If you would like information, please just ask.

In theory, we can run this trip year-round. In reality, you'll probably want to swerve the height of the summer if you can as things tend to get hot, hot, hot down here. Temperatures can easily rise to 86°F and above, which is simply too hot to enjoy being outside for any length of time. In addition, Seville in particular goes a bit quiet in August when the locals head to the coast or the north in search of cooler climes.

The rest of the year is a green light for travel. We particularly love coming to the cities in winter when things are a little calmer and you can still hit a seam of sunny, dry weather. Whilst you'll need to wrap up warm in Granada, it can be spectacular to see the Sierra Nevada mountains blanketed in fresh snow beyond the Alhambra.

The hotels we use in the three cities are all within a short walk of a wide choice of restaurants and the heart of the city. We look for quiet and comfy rooms, good service, a sense of place and a bit of personality. We like some luxury touches, but not necessarily luxury for the sake of luxury. This is a trip which rewards you getting out and about to explore the cities on foot. Naturally, there are ways for you to dial this up and down as you go though.

We don't pack your days too tightly. Let's say have a guided tour included in the morning. Well, the afternoon could then very easily be given over to a lingering lunch, a nose around the more interesting shops or a spot of people-watching from a sunny terrace. Because you're staying for longer, there's really no need to ever rush.

No, all your hosts and guides will speak good English and given that you're spending your time in well-known cities, you'll get along just fine. If you have a few words of Spanish, it can be great fun practising with the locals, who will always appreciate your efforts.

For sure! As well as the time you spend with your guides and hosts, locals themselves of course, this trip gives you lots of opportunity to observe and interact with locals as much as you'd like to. We always encourage you to eat in locally-owned restaurants where possible.

Most commonly that might mean adding more guiding for your second day in Seville, or giving you time in other areas such as Madrid, Barcelona or the rest of Andalucía.
