By submitting a nomination or confirming participation in the Eclipse Giveaway 2026, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them in full before entering. These terms should be read alongside the Eclipse Giveaway 2026 Privacy Notice below.
1. The Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Pura Aventura Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, with its principal place of business at 80 East Street, Brighton, BN1 1NF England ("Pura Aventura", "we", "us", "our"). The campaign is run in association with TourSpain (Spanish Tourist Office), who are contributing flight costs for the prize winners. TourSpain are not jointly responsible for the administration of the competition or for any prize-related obligations beyond the flight contribution.
2. Definitions
In these Terms & Conditions:
- "Competition" means the Eclipse Giveaway 2026 prize draw operated by Pura Aventura.
- "Nominator" means a person who submits a nomination form to enter the Competition.
- "Nominee" means a person nominated by a Nominator to win the Prize.
- "Entry" means a completed nomination form submitted by a Nominator, together with the Nominee's subsequent confirmation of participation.
- "Prize" means the 8-night trip for two people described in Clause 6.
- "Prize Draw" means the process by which the Winner is selected from confirmed Entries.
- "Winner" means the Nominee selected to receive the Prize.
- "Entry Period" means the period during which nominations are open, as set out in Clause 4.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Nominators
To submit a nomination, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over at the time of entry
- Have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Notice
- Not be an employee, director, agent, or immediate family member of an employee or director of Pura Aventura Ltd or TourSpain
There is no limit to the number of nominations a single Nominator may submit, provided each nomination is for a different Nominee and each nomination is genuine. Multiple nominations for the same Nominee will be treated as a single Entry.
3.2 Nominees
To be eligible to win, a Nominee must:
- Be aged 18 or over at the time of the Prize Draw
- Hold a valid passport permitting entry into Spain, valid for at least six months beyond the travel dates
- Be available to travel on the fixed Prize dates: 8–16 August 2026
- Be able to travel from the United Kingdom (for flight logistics purposes)
- Actively confirm their participation by clicking the confirmation link in the notification email sent by Pura Aventura
- Not be an employee, director, agent, or immediate family member of an employee or director of Pura Aventura Ltd or TourSpain
A person may not nominate themselves. Self-nominations will be disqualified. A Nominator may not be their own Nominee.
4. Entry Period and How to Enter
Competition opens | 31 May 2026
Competition closes | Midnight BST 30 June 2026
Winner announced | On or around 6 July 2026
Travel dates | 8–16 August 2026
To enter, a Nominator must complete the online nomination form at during the Entry Period. The form requires:
- The Nominator's name and email address
- The Nominee's name and email address
- A short written explanation (up to 500 characters) of why the Nominee would appreciate the experience
- Agreement to these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Notice
Submission of the nomination form by the Nominator does not constitute a complete Entry. An Entry is only complete when the Nominee receives the notification email from Pura Aventura and clicks to actively confirm their participation. Nominees who do not confirm will not be entered into the Prize Draw.
Entries submitted after the closing date and time will not be accepted. Pura Aventura accepts no responsibility for nominations lost, delayed, or incomplete due to technical failure.
5. The Prize Draw
The Winner will be selected from all valid, confirmed Entries received during the Entry Period. The selection process is as follows:
Pura Aventura team members will collectively decide on 20-25 finalists based on their 'appreciation' text.
These finalists will be forwarded to an independent judging panel consisting of (currently) TV presenter & author Kate Humble as well as the Travel Editor of The Times/Sunday Times, Chris Haslam as well as the acting head of the Spanish Tourist Office in London. These participants are subject to change.
Judges will select their preferred three nominations - allocating gold/silver/bronze for 3/2/1 points respectively. The highest scoring nomination will be the winner. In the event of a tie, the joint winning entries will be sent back to judges to allocate 'places on the podium' again. If still a tie after this, winner will be selected from the tied entries randomly.
The Prize Draw will take place on or around 4th July 2026.
Pura Aventura reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Nominees before confirming the Winner. Where Pura Aventura reasonably suspects that an Entry is fraudulent, in breach of these Terms, or otherwise invalid, that Entry may be disqualified.
The Winner will be contacted directly using the email address provided at confirmation. Pura Aventura will make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner. If the Winner does not respond within 5 working days of the date of notification, or is found to be ineligible, Pura Aventura reserves the right to select an alternative Winner from the remaining valid Entries.
6. The Prize
6.1 What is included
The Prize consists of an 8-night self guided trip for two people through northern Spain, 8–16 August 2026, including:
- Return economy class flights from London to Bilbao and back (contributed by TourSpain; carrier and exact flight times at TourSpain's and Pura Aventura's discretion)
- Accommodation for two people throughout (boutique properties as specified in the itinerary)
- Breakfast daily, one dinner & two lunches. Drinks are not included.
- Car hire (manual transmission, Ford Focus category or equivalent) for the duration of the trip with basic insurance cover for the principal named driver.
- All activities and experiences listed in the published itinerary, including: winery visit, wine tasting, eclipse viewing on 12 August 2026, visit to the Añana Salt Pans, tasting lunch at Almazen, Bilbao bike tour, and Guggenheim Museum entrance
- Logistics support from Pura Aventura.
6.2 What is not included
- Travel insurance (the Winner is required to obtain appropriate travel insurance prior to departure; travel insurance is a condition of accepting the Prize)
- Personal spending money, meals other than those specified in the itinerary, and alcoholic drinks beyond those included in scheduled tastings
- Travel to and from the departure airport
- Any costs arising from changes to travel plans due to personal circumstances, illness, or events outside Pura Aventura's control
- Upgrades or changes to any element of the Prize
6.3 Prize conditions
The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash alternative. The Winner may not transfer the Prize to a third party. The companion travelling with the Winner must be agreed with Pura Aventura in advance and must also meet the eligibility requirements set out in Clause 3.2 (with the exception of the nomination process).
The Prize must be taken on the fixed dates of 8–16 August 2026. No alternative dates are available. If the Winner is unable to travel on these dates after acceptance, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternative Winner may be selected.
The itinerary is as described at the time of the Prize Draw. Pura Aventura reserves the right to substitute any element of the Prize with an equivalent alternative of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make the original element unavailable.
7. Winner Verification and Announcement
Before the Winner is publicly announced, Pura Aventura will verify:
- Age and identity
- UK residency
- Passport validity (minimum six months beyond 16 August 2026)
- Availability for the travel dates
- Any other eligibility requirements set out in Clause 3
The Winner may be required to provide documentary evidence of eligibility within a reasonable timeframe. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
The Winner's first name and general location (e.g. county or city) may be published on Pura Aventura's website and social media channels following the announcement. By confirming participation in the Competition, Nominees consent to this limited publication in the event that they win. No further personal details will be published without the Winner's explicit written consent.
8. Content and Publicity
Pura Aventura may document the prize trip through photography, video, and written content produced by or on behalf of Pura Aventura. The Winner agrees to cooperate reasonably with such documentation, and grants Pura Aventura a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use images, video, and quotes from the trip in its marketing and communications for a period of two years following the trip.
Nomination text (the written explanation submitted by Nominators) may be used anonymously in Pura Aventura's social media and promotional content only where the Nominator has explicitly opted into this use on the nomination form. No nomination text will be attributed to a named individual or published with identifying details without the Nominator's express written consent.
9. Disqualification
Pura Aventura reserves the right to disqualify any Nominator or Nominee who:
- Provides false, inaccurate, or misleading information at any stage of the Competition
- Submits a self-nomination or colluding nominations (e.g. where two people nominate each other)
- Attempts to manipulate or subvert the Competition mechanics
- Acts in a manner that Pura Aventura considers to be abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate in connection with the Competition
- Is found not to meet the eligibility criteria set out in Clause 3
Disqualified entries will be removed from the Prize Draw and Pura Aventura's decision on disqualification is final.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pura Aventura excludes liability for:
- Any technical failure, interruption, or error affecting the submission of nominations or confirmations
- Loss, damage, or injury suffered during the Prize trip, except where caused by Pura Aventura's negligence
- Any failure or delay in the performance of the Competition or Prize caused by circumstances beyond Pura Aventura's reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, airline disruption, natural disaster, pandemic, or government travel restrictions
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits Pura Aventura's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The Winner is strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and curtailment for the Prize trip. Travel insurance is a condition of accepting the Prize.
11. Data Protection
Personal data collected in connection with this Competition will be processed by Pura Aventura Ltd in accordance with the Eclipse Giveaway 2026 Privacy Notice, available at pura-aventura.com. Pura Aventura is the data controller. Data will be used for the purposes of administering the Competition, contacting the Winner, and (where consent has been given) for marketing communications.
Participant data will not be shared with TourSpain or any other third party for marketing purposes without the participant's separate, explicit consent.
12. General
Pura Aventura reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition or these Terms & Conditions at any time, with or without notice, if circumstances beyond its reasonable control require it to do so. If the Competition is cancelled before the Prize Draw, Pura Aventura will not be liable to any Nominator or Nominee for any loss, cost, or disappointment arising from such cancellation.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Pura Aventura's decision on all matters relating to the Competition, including eligibility, the Prize Draw, Winner selection, and disqualification, is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
