With 2016 just around the corner, we thought it would be nice to share with you some images from the trips the Pura Aventura team have made this year. Enjoy the journey!

We started 2015 with a foodie trip to Andalucia, looking to create a gastronomic journey from the Aracena hills, source of peerless Ibérico hams and goat cheeses, across the plains dotted with sherry bodegas, all the way to the ocean where the fish almost jump onto restaurant tables.

After this, Diego went to Catalonia setting up a new route. Boasting of lovely and comfortable traditional inns, the itinerary took him from the forested volcanic cones of Garrotxa Natural Park to the coastal cliffs and coves of Costa Brava via Girona.

In April, Sarah travelled to Ecuador's Avenue of the Volcanoes, then headed into the depths of the Ecuadorian Amazon into Huaorani territory. From there she went to the Galapagos to do the land based, active Galapagos trip inspecting a raft of Galapagos boats.

At the same time Kristina went to Peru to walk our dedicated 4-day Inca Trail, as well as the alternative Huchuaycosco trail in the Sacred Valley. After that, she explored the remote Manu region of the Amazon basin.

In late April, Thomas went to Torres del Paine to see lodges and hikes. He then travelled to Puerto Varas and Chiloe Grande from where he continued to the Southern Highway visiting the new Patagonia National Park and Mallin Colorado.

In June, we escorted a couple of The Guardian journalists to Southern Spain's Aracena, Jerez, Seville and Doñana on our newly released Andalucia foodie adventure.

In August, Diego went back to the Spanish Pyrenees, looking for new inns and trails around the gorgeous Ordesa National Park.

In September, Thomas returned to Andalucia's Jerez, Vejer, Arcos de la Frontera, Ronda and Tarifa in order to inspect accommodations and restaurants.

A couple of weeks later, Thomas headed to Catalonia, having again the delightful duty of trying new restaurants and local food markets...

In October, David travelled to the Basque Country were he mainly visited Bilbao's city highlights, enjoyed local food and wineries in La Rioja.

Finally, to end this year full of trips, it was Tais turn to discover the magnificent Picos de Europa - spending a week between the coast and the heart of the national park.
